A Qatar-based services marketplace connecting clients with construction, design, and home-service contractors — covering everything from onboarding and service discovery to proposals, payments, and ratings.
In a market like Qatar's construction and home-services sector, clients and contractors typically find each other through word of mouth or fragmented listings — there's no single place to browse verified service providers by category, compare proposals, or track a job from request to completion.
Handassa was built to be that single place: a two-sided marketplace where individuals and companies can both post jobs and offer services, with structured categories spanning everything from construction and electrical work to interior design and landscaping.
Handassa was commissioned by a Qatar-based client targeting the country's construction and home-services sector. The platform is designed for all of Qatar, covering the full range of skilled trades and professional services that homeowners and developers regularly need. Nurbs.io built the entire two-sided marketplace — both the client-facing and contractor-facing experiences — from product design to delivery.
Separate sign-up flows for individuals and companies, including location selection (by area within Qatar) and service category selection up front — so every user lands in the right part of the marketplace immediately.
A deep category system — construction, steel structure, waterproofing, electrical, plumbing, interior design, and more — letting users browse or filter by exactly the type of work they need.
Contractor profiles show experience, ratings, completed-project counts, and portfolio images, with a proposal flow letting clients review and hire directly from the app.
Monthly, 3-month, and 12-month subscription tiers for contractors and companies wanting ongoing visibility, alongside in-app chat, notifications, and job tracking (ongoing/completed).
Rather than a single generic sign-up, Handassa splits into Individual vs. Company and Client vs. Freelancer paths immediately — each collecting different information (e.g. a company's CR documentation vs. a freelancer's ID and past project images) because the verification and trust requirements genuinely differ between user types.
Rather than a generic city/zip-code field, location selection uses Qatar's real district names (Al Wakrah, Al Khor, Al Rayyan, The Pearl, and others) — making the platform feel native to its market instead of a global template with a country dropdown bolted on.
Rather than directing clients and contractors to WhatsApp or external messaging, Handassa includes a full in-app chat system tied to each job — keeping the negotiation, proposal, and hiring flow inside the platform where it can be tracked, referenced, and tied to the job record.

Handassa covers the complete journey from onboarding through hiring, payment tiers, and job completion — built specifically around how services are bought and sold in Qatar, not adapted from a generic template.
Two-sided platforms live or die on the details — onboarding, trust signals, and payments built around how your market actually works.
